The Metric Times is back.
Unless you were living under a rock we all know Season I of
the Metric Revolution Motorcycle Build Off aired the
Spring/Summer of 07 on ESPN2. It was a success..a big
success... No a huge success from my point of view. It
nearly killed all the staff associated with the production,
yours truly included. The task of producing and airing
, a brand new untested tv show is not a job for those
without true grit, and shouldn't be tried by you at home.
But since we try not to let common sense rule our decisions
we have opted to do it again. Why you ask?
Because you the viewer deserve to see the greatest
motorcycle builders in the world push past their limits and
create some of the most incredible motorcycles "ON THE
PLANET."
So the Metric Times is back, to keep you informed of the progress
of the upcoming series and what is happening in the world of
motorcycles. This issue is a little lite, every issue
is going to have a little bit more within it and like the
last time we cranked up the presses it grew to a beast
sometimes more than 15 pages long. So check it out,
send us comments and if you want to get involved with it,
shoot me an email.

Fremont
Street Project
Fremont Street
Experience, RideNow Powersports
www.ridenow.com , ESPN 2 Metric Revolution
builders and Multi-Media Marketing and Production, Inc
are exciting about building (2) customized project “Las
Vegas” themed motorcycles to be unveiled Spring 2008.
Fremont Street
Experience has selected builders of the ESPN 2 “Metric
Revolution” Motorcycle Build-Off to customize (2) “Las
Vegas” themed custom motorcycles that will be unveiled
April 2008.
The essence of the Theme Bikes: Casino action
has changed through the years along with changes in
casino ownership and technological advances. The
then-and-now is personified by a battle waged between
table games and slot machines. The once dominant table
games have lost influence and territory as both daily
revenues and casino architects can attest.
But the war is
not over and both sides of the house continue to fight
for the customer’s attention and dollars. We used this
insider’s view of the industry as inspiration for the
Fremont Street bike designs. The descriptions below are
offered to better describe the two distinct
personalities of each.
The Pit Boss:
“We see the cruiser bike capturing the essence of the
“pit boss”. It’s strong and dark with refined street
smarts, in a powerful and dangerous package. Admire it,
respect it, but don’t cross it. Thematic cues would
reflect table game icons including cards, dice, roulette
wheels, chips, etc.”
Max Bet
Addiction: “We see the sport bike capturing the
essence of the modern-day slot machine. Technology is
seductive, intellect is power and speed is just plain
fun. Although loaded with all of the brains, bells,
whistles and options of a video game, this is no mere
toy. Sit on it too long and you run the risk of
becoming addicted. With all of its beautiful attributes
fully exposed, this is a visually captivating, highly
entertaining, wickedly smart and dangerously addictive
ride. Thematic cues would reflect slot machine
attributes including buttons, lights, reel symbols and
program gadgetry.”
The (2)
Fremont Street custom motorcycles will be rotated around
the Fremont Street Casino’s for 1 year.
Fremont Street Experience
located in Las Vegas, NV
has over 25,000 visitors per day.

Special thanks goes out to RideNow Powersports group
www.ridenow.com for
donating (2) brand new stock custom motorcycles.

Motorcycle Marketing 101
Topic of
the Week: “Acquiring
More Customers”
Brought to you by M3Pro
www.m3pi.com.
Quote of the Week:
"Marketing is the process of planning and executing the
conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas,
goods, services, organizations, and events to create and
maintain relationships that will satisfy individual and
organizational objectives." -Contemporary
Marketing Wired (1998) by Boone and Kurtz. Dryden
Press.
Each
issue of “Metric
Times” is going to offer business’s
”Motorcycle Marketing 101”; tips and solutions on
how to grow your business.
The essence of marketing is to
understand your customers' needs and develop a plan that
surrounds those needs. Let's face it,
anyone involved within the motorcycle industry has a desire
to grow their business now more than ever.
The most
effective way to grow and expand your business is by
focusing on creating a target marketing strategy.
To Acquire more customers,
companies have to start with “Basic Marketing 101”: Identify
your core market and create a solid marketing initiative.
Identify your core market:
Spend time researching and create a strategic marketing plan
that targets your specific market. Ask yourself these
questions:
1) Who is my ideal customer? Age, demographics, likes,
dislikes, magazines read, motorcycles owned and what types
of clubs and/or sports is your ideal customers involved
with.
2) How can I target this market? Email blasts, magazines,
online promotions, television and motorcycle events just to
name a few.
3) How much can I spend each year doing so? What percentage
of sales can I allocate to marketing and advertising?
Create a solid marketing initiative:
1) Call your vendors or associates and ask them if they are
interested in participating in any co-advertising
opportunities. Talk to them about where they currently
market and how you can both save money by joining your
marketing efforts.
2) Take some time to send your existing customers referrals
and buying incentives.
3)
Introducing yourself to the
media? Create a press release and fax this out to all of the
motorcycle industry publications. Free publicity has the
potential to boost your business. By doing this, you
position yourself as an expert in your field.
4) Price
your products and services competitively.
Final Thought:
When you do spend money on marketing, do not forget to
create a way to track those marketing efforts. You can do
this by coding your ads, using multiple toll-free telephone
numbers, and asking prospects where they heard about you.
This enables you to notice when a marketing tactic stops
working. You can then quickly replace it with a better
choice or method.
The staff of M3Pro wishes you a very successful week! For
